Lumitell is an Android app that turns a photo into an illustrated story. You choose the photo, what the story is about, one of 28 art styles and a length between 1 and 10 pages. The app writes the text and creates an illustration for each page.
Anything. Pets and people are obvious choices, but a toy, a drawing, a plant, a car or an ornament on a shelf works too. The subject of the photo becomes the main character.
They are interpretations, not copies. A sharp, well-lit photo of a single subject usually gives the closest match. The art style matters too: Pixel Art and Japanese Ink simplify far more than Watercolor or Oil Painting do.
There is a free story to try, two pages long. After that there are four monthly plans: Lite ($3.49, 15 pages), Standard ($11.99, 50 pages), Plus ($17.99, 80 pages) and Premium ($29.99, 120 pages and narration). All paid plans include all 28 art styles and stories of up to 10 pages. Prices are in US dollars. Google Play shows the price in your currency.
Every page of a story counts as one page. With the Lite plan you can, for example, make three stories of five pages in a month, or fifteen stories of one page.
